Paternity Leave

Paternity leave is time off for the non-birthing parent or partner around the birth or adoption of a child.

Paternity leave is leave granted to the partner of someone giving birth, or to the second parent in an adoption, so they can support the family and bond with the child in the early days.

It is usually shorter than maternity leave and, like other family leave, its length and pay are set by local law and sometimes enhanced by the employer.
